2020-2021 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)

APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED

West Valley City is now accepting applications for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the 2020-2021 program year. Applications, guidelines and instructions are available online through ZoomGrants, which can be accessed by visiting the Grants Division page on the City’s website at www.wvc-ut.gov/grants or by going directly to the applications at https://www.zoomgrants.com/zgf/WestValleyCity. Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is a source of funds for West Valley City's community development and housing programs. The primary purpose of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanded economic opportunities, principally for persons of low income.

West Valley City receives funds annually to carry out CDBG eligible activities. The city directs these funds to:

  • Economic development
  • Housing
  • Infrastructure improvements
  • Public facilities
  • Public service

The solicitation of CDBG applications is to assist the city in carrying out eligible activities that meet the needs of low-income persons in West Valley City.
