Voter Information


  • Now it's easier than ever to register online! Simply visit the Online Voter Registration Website to find out more. You need to have a current Utah Driver's License or ID Card in order to register using the online system.  
  • Check your registration status, location of ballot drop boxes and vote centers, or view other election information visit the Salt Lake County Clerk's Election Website.
  • Visit vote.utah.gov to register to vote, view the sample ballot, candidate profiles, find information about polling locations, see your specific voter information, track ballots, and more.

Vote By Mail Election

West Valley City will be conducting a Vote by Mail Election 
  • Ballots for the Primary will be mailed the week of July 24, 2017 to all active voters
  • Postage-paid return envelopes will be provided
  • Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than the day before election day. 
  • You can track your returned ballot online to ensure that it was received at: vote.utah.gov

Ballots may also be returned 24/7 until 8:00 PM on Election Day to Drop Boxes. Find a list of drop box locations HERE


You can STILL vote in person! 
  • Early Voting will take place at West Valley City Hall (3600 South Constitution Blvd (2700 W)) Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between August 1, 2017- August 11, 2017 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM and also at THESE other locations 
  • Election Day Voting (August 15, 2017) will occur from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the following West Valley City Locations: 
    • West Valley City Hall, 3600 S Constitution Blvd (2700 West)
    • Hunter Library, 4740 W 4100 S
    • Granger LDS, 3300 S 4440 W
    • Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W 3100 S
  • Election Day Voting will also be available at THESE other locations, outside of the City
