In the spring of 2018, Utah Surface Design Group held a workshop here at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center lead by Canadian fiber artist Alice Vander Vennen. She shared her techniques of producing collages with various fabrics, sticks, stones, copper wire and other found objects. This exhibit is the artwork made by USDG members in the workshop.
At this show – “For the Love of Fiber” – textile artists from throughout the state of Utah will display many types of textile art—weaving, knitting, spinning, embroidery, basketry, and felting.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a life-saving emergency technique of administering chest compressions to a victim in cardiac arrest. Nationally, bystanders start CPR about 40 percent of the time. In Utah, the rate is much lower -- about 20 percent. For every minute that CPR is delayed, a victim's chance of survival drops by ten percent; if you wait even five minutes, the chance of survival is cut in half!
Hands-only CPR does not require mouth-to-mouth. By simply administering chest compressions, you can save a life!
