The Traffic Enforcement Section of the Police Department is made of four supervisors, one Traffic Accident Detective, and 15 traffic officers. The 20 members of the Traffic Section carry the bulk of the traffic enforcement load for the West Valley City Police Department. The expertise of the Traffic Section ranges from up-to-date technology (i.e. laser enforcement and computer generated accident reconstruction) to the hands-on skills of traffic enforcement from the seat of a Police Harley Davidson motorcycle.
