Hazardous Materials Permit
The West Valley City Fire Department will no longer accept Hazardous Materials Permit applications or renewals in person. Applications and renewals must be submitted online.
To apply for a NEW Hazardous Materials Permit, click this link and follow the instructions below: https://pllportal.wvc-ut.gov/portal
- If this is your first time visiting the portal, you will need to create an account using a valid email address. To do this, select Create Account at the bottom of the screen.
- Log into the portal using the same email address and password from the “Create Account” process in step 1.
- From the Dashboard, select Create New Application.
- Enter your Business Name, select the Fire Permits dropdown and choose Fire – Hazardous Materials Permit, then click Next to continue the application process.
To renew an EXISTING Hazardous Materials Permit, click this link and follow the instructions below: https://pllportal.wvc-ut.gov/portal
- If this is your first time visiting the portal, you will need to create an account using a valid email address. To do this, select Create Account at the bottom of the screen.
- Log into the portal using the email address and password that was previously created.
- From the Dashboard, click Review/Renew.
- Your permit will appear on this screen if it was previously linked to your portal account. Click the reload/renewal icon under Actions and continue the renewal process.
*NOTE - If renewing online for the first time, you will need to enter your unique renewal code in the Search box. This code can be found at the top of the renewal letter that was sent to you. Your permit should then be shown under Review/Renew.
Sara Title II Requirements
To comply with Sara Title II requirements, companies that exceed Threshold quantities, or materials in excess of 10,000 pounds of Hazardous Substances, must send a copy of the Tier II inventory to the Federal, State and Local jurisdictions.
