The Patrol Bureau serves as the Police Department's largest section with over 80 sworn personnel. Considered to be the backbone of any police organization, the primary responsibility of the Officers in the Patrol Bureau is to respond to calls for service (911). The West Valley City Police Department offers ride alongs for the public as well as our current police applicants. If you are a police applicant you will be arranged a ride along during the hiring process.
