2022-2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Applications Now Being Accepted

West Valley City’s Request for Applications (RFA) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the 2023-2024 program year will open on February 13, 2023.  RFA Workshops will be held February 9th at 9am and February 15th at 9am. It is recommended that applicants attend one of the above workshops to receive technical assistance with the application.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is a source of funds for West Valley City's community development and housing programs. The primary purpose of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanded economic opportunities, principally for persons of low income.

West Valley City receives funds annually to carry out CDBG eligible activities. The city directs these funds to:

  • Economic development
  • Housing
  • Infrastructure improvements
  • Public facilities
  • Public service

The solicitation of CDBG applications is to assist the city in carrying out eligible activities that meet the needs of low-income persons in West Valley City.
