2024-2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Request For Applications

West Valley City will be accepting applications for CDBG eligible Public Service programs and Infrastructure and Public Facilities projects starting on February 14, 2024. Application will close on March 15, 2024. Applications will be accepted through Neighborly only (see link below).

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is a source of funds for West Valley City's community development and housing programs. The primary purpose of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanded economic opportunities, principally for persons of low income.

West Valley City receives funds annually to carry out CDBG eligible activities. The city directs these funds to:

  • Housing
  • Infrastructure improvements
  • Public facilities
  • Public service

The solicitation of CDBG applications is to assist the city in carrying out eligible activities that meet the needs of low-income persons in West Valley City.
