Justice Court

The West Valley City Justice Court has no current restrictions regarding COVID-19 with the exception of those exhibiting symptoms. If you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, please contact the court by phone and do not enter the court building. Masks will still be provided upon request, and we will continue to encourage social distancing.

  • Most hearings will still be held virtually through WebEx. Please contact the court to provide a valid email address where you will be sent a direct link to join your hearing. If you do not have an email address, contact the court at 801-963-3590 for further assistance.
  • Some hearings will be held in person. If you are unsure whether your case will be seen virtually or not, contact the court at 801-963-3590 for more information.

Certain traffic violations may qualify for the new Deferred Prosecution program. Deferred Prosecution is a program created by the Utah Legislature where you can earn a dismissal of the charge(s) listed in your citation if you meet all requirements. You must apply for this program no later than 21 days after receiving your citation.
