This exhibit is a combination of four curated exhibits to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the driving of the golden spike at Promontory Point, Utah: Move Over, Sir!: Women Working on the Railroad; All Set for the West: Railroads and the National Parks; Beauty, Brawn, Commerce & Travel: Photography of US Railroads; Along the Line: Contemporary Explorations of the Transcontinental Railroad. COMING TO UTAH FOR THE FIRST TIME This high-tech, 53-foot tractor-trailer transforms into a 1,000 square foot exhibit which is a tool to further educate citizens throughout the country about the events of that tragic day. This exhibit includes actual steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, recordings of first-responder radio transmissions and interactive guided tours by FDNY firefighters.
