The West Valley City Planning Commission prepares and recommends a general plan, zoning ordinances and maps, and subdivision regulations to the West Valley City Council. Additionally, the Planning Commission administers provisions of the zoning ordinance and recommends approval or denial of subdivision applications to the City Council. The Planning Commission also advises the City Council on zoning matters and may hear or decide any matters as designated by the City Council, including approval or denial of conditional use permits.
Planning Commission Meetings
West Valley City Planning Commission Study Meetings are held City Hall on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 3:30 PM; regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 4 PM.
Meetings in addition to those specified will be held as circumstances require; appropriate notice will be given for such meetings.
