Cindy Wood was elected to serve the residents of District 4 in November 2025. She was previously selected to fill the District 4 Councilmember Vacancy on January 28, 2025. She currently serves on the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District Board of Trustees and was a Planning Commissioner on the West Valley City Planning Commission from April 2017 through January 2025.
She grew up in Magna, graduating from Cyprus High School. Cindy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah. She has more than 20 years of experience in law firm administration and accounting. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and began her accounting career in public accounting and then as CFO for several Utah Industrial Banks. Cindy is a member of the Utah Association of CPAs.
Cindy and her husband Evan have lived in West Valley City for 40 years. She has three children and three grandchildren.
