Every West Valley City resident is represented by four elected officials: Mayor, two Councilmembers At-Large, and a District Councilmember. The West Valley City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 4:30 PM (Study Meeting) and 6:30 PM (Regular Meeting) at West Valley City Hall, unless otherwise changed by the City Council as the need arises; appropriate notice will be given for such meetings. In addition, City Council meetings are broadcast live via web streaming.
All meetings of the West Valley City Council are open to the public, unless closed pursuant to the applicable provisions of Utah's Open and Public Meetings Act.
