Do you love animals and want to make a difference in your community? Volunteers play an important role in helping West Valley City Animal Services provide quality care, comfort, and enrichment for animals at the shelter.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

Once your application has been submitted, you will be redirected to our booking page to schedule your required volunteer orientation. Orientation must be completed before volunteering. After completing orientation, you are welcome to volunteer during the shelter’s open hours.
Volunteer Hours
- Monday through Friday: 8 AM - 6 PM
- Saturday: Times vary; please speak to shelter staff.
Eagle Scout, Boy Scout, and other organized group projects may be considered and approved in advance. Please contact West Valley City Animal Services to discuss your project idea or ask any questions.
