2027 Recycling Event

West Valley City hosts an annual recycling event where residents can drop off tires, electronics, and documents for secure disposal and recycling (documents are shredded on-site). Check back for details on our next event, coming in May 2027!

Paper Shredding

(Provided by ACE Disposal)

This event is for residential paper shredding.  Up to two banker boxes may be brought for shredding.  

Tire Recycling

(Provided by Southern Tire Mart)

This event will accept up to 4 tires per household. Tires do not have to be removed from their rims, however, rims attached to tires must be donated fully and cannot be returned to donor.

Electronics Recycling

(Provided by TAMS Electronic Recycling)

This event is for residential households only. TAMS thoroughly pulverizes electronic devices with memory modules. All electronic devices are stored in a locked building until destroyed, creating a very secure end of life for your devices with data in them.

Acceptable Electronic Items:

  • Wi-Fi access equipment
  • Televisions
  • Monitors
  • Printers/Faxes/Copiers
  • Computers
  • Tablets, such as iPads, Android tablets, etc.
  • Phones (land-based phones, IP phones, or cellular phones) - batteries do not need to be removed.
  • Computer cables
  • Adding machines and calculators
  • Audio visual equipment
  • Power supplies and UPS’s
  • Household microwaves

Items that will not be accepted:

  • Household appliances, such as: washers, dryers, or kitchen appliances (blenders, mixers, etc.)
  • Anything that has refrigerant or chemicals inside, such as: electric paint guns, pest sprayers, freezers, refrigerators, or HVAC Equipment, etc.
  • Fluorescent light bulbs, or ballasts.
  • Household batteries
