Curbside recycling (often called single stream) is accomplished by placing acceptable items in your recycling can. Recycling is picked up every other week. West Valley City contracts with ACE Recycling and Disposal to provide garbage, recycling, and bulky waste services.

Your recycling container must be out on the curb by 7:00 AM on your scheduled collection day (you may place your container on the street the night prior to your collection day). West Valley City Ordinance requires that your container must be off the street within 24 hours of collection.

No. If you would like to opt out of West Valley City recycling service, call the Sanitation Division at 801-963-3334. They will collect your recycling container and adjust your account so that you are not charged for recycling pickup.
