Sidewalk, Curb, and Gutter Repair Program
This program offers residents a way to repair sidewalk, curb, and gutter adjacent to their property on their own schedule while staying compliant with City Ordinance. Permit fees for approved work will be waived by the city.
The Repair Program has a set budget every year; applications are accepted until the budgeted funds have been exhausted. Applications will then be accepted after the first business day of the next fiscal year. All applications must be approved before work begins. Once the work is completed and inspected by the City, residents will be reimbursed $30 per linear foot for eligible sidewalk or curb and gutter replacement.
The program is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify for reimbursement, residents must:
- Ensure the work is eligible. Most sidewalk, curb, and gutter replacements qualify, but concrete between the two is not covered.
- Contact Scott Slaugh at 801-955-3717 to confirm eligibility and obtain the required paperwork.
- Obtain a no-cost City permit for removal of sidewalk, curb and gutter, or asphalt.
- Hire a licensed contractor and provide a receipt for the completed work.
