The iconic photographs of Larry Hulst capture the freewheeling energy of live music and the enduring visual spectacle of rock’s greatest performers. From Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix to David Bowie and Lauryn Hill, Front Row Center: Icons of Rock, Blues and Soul brings together over 70 images of legendary musicians and singers across three genres and generations. The exhibition charts Hulst’s extraordinary path through the pulsing heart of the most exciting live music of the last century, showcasing a unique visual anthology of rock, blues, and soul music from 1970–1999. These images, which have been featured on album art and Rolling Stone spreads, convey Hulst’s lifelong passion for the magnetism, immediacy, and unpredictability of live music. ?With photos that also document the unforgettable voices of funk, punk, and beyond, Front Row Center grants viewers an all-access pass to some of the most memorable performances in popular music history.
Since 2004, the Utah Cultural Celebration Center has collected nativities from around the world to complement the Trees of Diversity exhibit. The nativities, many donated by individuals or cultural organizations, showcase not only the diversity found in our community, but also the far corners of the globe residents have traveled.
This year’s Trees of Diversity exhibit continues a community tradition that started almost 20 years ago. Trees on display represent different countries and ethnic backgrounds as well as family traditions. Spread throughout the Utah Cultural Celebration Center and complimented by the Winter Scenes & Holiday Dreams exhibition, community wreaths, nativities, and other festive décor, the Trees of Diversity exhibit showcases the richness of culture in our community, both here and abroad.
This year’s Winter Scenes & Holiday Dreams exhibit features holiday, seasonal, Christmas, artworks by local Utah artists. Come visit and enjoy seasonal fine art while discovering Christmas trees decorated by cultural and community groups while you’re here. Wreaths, nativities, and other festive décor complement your 2023 holiday experience at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center.

This family-friendly show brings musical performances to West Valley during this complimentary experience for the whole family. The Beehive Statesmen Chorus Founded in 1948, the chorus continues the uniquely American tradition of 4-part harmony a'Cappella barbershop music in a manner guaranteed to appeal to music lovers of all ages. Now under the direction of Paul Barlow and Chris Wiggins, the chorus has been entertaining residents all over the Salt Lake County area for over 70 years! This concert will include a wide selection of holiday favorites by the entire chorus as well as numbers presented by several quartets composed of members of the chorus.
